A wonderful photo. To imagine how long that has been standing is so amazing! I will Fave it to remind me of the time I went there. I'm so glad that I have seen it in person. And that you have taken a photo to help remind me

When we went there my parents couldn't find the way out. They were looking confused and a staff member came by. With no common language the guy thought we were confused about the place and took us to a locked room and showed us a model of how it was when first built, complete with a 'canvas' roof of some description. It was much better than just being shown the way out as the parents had wanted LOL

Really??? :)
They still have that model on the higher floors :XD:
You should really think of going back and visiting :)
It's mindblowing how well it's being kept :)

They do? :eyepopping: How amazing!!! I think I'd have been about 9 years old when I saw it, so around 1965 give or take 2 years. That model will last another 2,000 years maybe LOL

I don't travel very well - I get very travel sick unless highly dosed up on sickness tablets. But I do hope one day to be able to visit Europe again. And I really love Italy. The Blue Grotto from Capri and Venice and Largo di Gardo (is that right?) and... everything.

I'm so sorry :( i'm sure there's some way to calm it down... how about a trip by train or car/boat??? :)
It's "Lago di Garda" :) i think it's all worth seeing...
One day i'll have enough time and money to travel the world *w* (i hope :XD:)

I'm OK on a train as long as I sit facing forwards and I can go on a boat on the river, but not the ocean. We sailed from England to Australia when we moved here in 1971 and it was a 3 week journey. I was sea sick for 3 days and nights but then fine after that. I used to get car sick, but am OK these days. But while David is working he can not take enough time off work for us to sail to the UK/Europe. Maybe after he retires ;)

I hope you get your dream of travel. Australia is very beautiful.

Thanks :)
I'm sure they'll work something out eventually against travel sicknesses :) in the meantime there are probably so many places around Australia to visit :)
Have a great week *w*
